We are a private school committed to the mission of "Changing Hearts by Feeding Minds." As an extension ministry of The Potter’s House International Ministries (TPHIM), we strive to nurture both the intellect and spirit of our students. Since its founding in June 1988, TPHIM has been guided by Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin’s vision for a ministry that transcends denominational boundaries and traditional limitations, fostering a welcoming environment for all. FOUNDERS
Founder & Senior Paster
Bishop McLaughlin's duties are far reaching. He lists his greatest of all accomplishments as being happily married to Narlene Jackson, his college sweetheart for 40 years. Lady Narlene as she is affectionately called, assists him in all aspects of the ministry as the church and mall?s Chief Administrative Officer. They also minister together at conferences and workshops and serve as a model couple to pastors and ministry leaders around the world. They have two adult children, Angel Narlene who serves as Director of Innovations and Strategies for the Ministry and Stephen Vaughn McLaughlin who serves as the head basketball coach for the Academies High School.
Chief Administrative Officer
Lady Narlene is currently the Chief Administrative and Operations Officer for the overall ministry of the Potter's House which includes the aforementioned responsibilities of the church, as well as pro- viding oversight for the church-owned entities which include: Kingdom Plaza Mall, The Soul Food Bistro, King Pins Bowling Center, Temple Builders Fitness and The Potter?s House Christian Academy. Lady Narlene has served on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations, including Logos Bible College, School of Success Charter School and SISTERS OICU, Inc., a prison release program for women.
THE POTTERS HOUSE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
we have graduated fourteen classes and sent over 300 students into the real world. Our graduates have served our country in the military, joined the workforce, and graced the halls of universities near and far. From the hometown the University of North Florida, to statewide stalwarts: The University of South Florida, the University of Central Florida and the University of Florida; from the University of North Carolina to the University of Notre Dame; from the United States Air Force Academy to the United States Naval Academy; our students are achieving academically. As productive citizens in the world, PHCA graduates are pursuing various professions and making a significant influence in the world.
ACADEMICS
The mission of The Potter’s House Christian Academy is to lead students to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior and to disciple them by providing instruction in the truths and realities of life so that they might be equipped and prepared for productive citizenship.
The Potter’s House Christian Academy High School is an engaging institution nurtures young individuals to thrive spiritually, academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. Students learn their value as creations in God's image while training in Bible study, mathematics, science, and technology equipping them to succeed in society.
